The Voice – S3 – Blind Auditions 5
Last night in the blind auditions we saw the show start with a single mom performing one of the most difficult songs to sing, “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston. Trevanne Howell performed well, but was very shaky, and pitchy at times. A sad way to start the episode. But it only got better from there, especially for Cee Lo.
Collin McLoughlin (“Wild World” by Cat Stevens)
NYU grad school drop out that pursued music. His mom thinks his decision will be validated with a coach turning around. Well, let’s see him win it first. Adam, Cee Lo, and Blake turned around. Collin picked Team Adam.
Joselyn Rivera (“Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” by Kelly Clarkson)
Another young teenager, the 12th if you’re counting. But I was very impressed, personally, but Christina was. Christina, and Blake turned around, Joselyn picked Team Xtina.
Benji (“Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan)
Former race car driver, with a raspy tone. Adam, and Cee Lo turned around, but Benji chose Team Adam.
A montage of Team Cee Lo selections… All with a classic touch
Todd Kessler – Team Cee Lo
Ben Taub – Team Cee Lo
Emily Earle – Team Cee Lo
Mycle Wastman (“Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green)
40 year-old that looks 20, who has been through terrible times losing his parents and being raised by his grandfather that died a week and a half. But the man’s got soul, and Adam, Cee Lo and Blake thought so too. Mycle joined Team Cee Lo.
Looking to next week, Blake needs to catch up, having only 7 contestants. Xtina with 10, and Adam & Cee Lo tied with 11.
