Vampire Diaries: Where Did We Leave Off?

The Vampire Diaries left us 3 long months ago (although to me it’s been like 3 years without my BF Damon) with LOTS of unanswered questions and a very vampified Elena. You’re probably a little fuzzy on what happened last season. Don’t worry we are too, so we’re going to take a little reminder trip from what happened then to where we are now.

First things first, Elena is FINALLY a vampire. I know, I know, maybe some of us haven’t been waiting three season for this to happen and you probably liked her innocent and unable to defend herself. But really, do you remember how badass Caroline got after she became a vampire? SO much better.

But before all of that, there was tons of drama surrounding Klaus (or just his body) and whether or not to kill him with the white oak tree stake, and Alaric is at the other end of the stake. If he kills Klaus, everyone in his blood line dies too, and that means Damon, Stefan, Caroline, and Tyler. Is killing Klaus really worth it?

But wait, when Alaric finds the body and stakes Klaus, no one dies?

The group assumes that it just must take a little while to die (oh, alright guys.) Elena is then faced with the decision to say goodbye to Caroline, Stefan and Tyler or Damon. She chooses the group, and maintains that if she had to choose between Damon and Stefan, it would still be Stefan. (UGH Damon I will take one for the team and date you).

Tyler and Caroline are finally feeling some kind of effects, well at least Tyler does when he starts to turn into a werewolf. He tells Caroline to get out of there to save herself. Everyone assumes that’s the end of him, but oh no wait, Bonnie finds him alive. Except he is Klaus…in Tylers body. Interesting.

While all of this is going on, Rebekah and Elijah want Alaric dead, and they know that they can kill Elena to do so. (Hence wear we started with a very vampire-ied Elena). Rebekah causes a car accident that should have killed Elena and Matt, but Stefan saves them both, he just didn’t get Elena in time, leading Meredith to have to give her vampire blood and therefore, forcing her into the decision to change over, or die.

We were not disappointed by the finale and I’m sure we won’t be let down this next season. What happens to Elena? (And when is she just going to choose Damon for goddess sake, look at him?!) Is Tyler dead? Is Klaus dead?

What can we expect from season 4? From the looks of the season preview there’s a lot of blood, ripping clothing off, shoving up against walls, other violent, beautiful vampire things. etc.
