I’m sure we’ve all heard the news of Blake Lively’s and Ryan Reynold entry into wedded bliss that happened this past weekend in South Carolina, and I know I’m not the only one patiently waiting on the pictures of her dress because lets face it, she IS one of the best dressed 20 somethings in Hollywood at the moment.
I’ve gotten over the fact that they didn’t tell anyone or send me an invite, especially since I though Blake and I were closer than that, but I’ll get over it. To help me cope I thought it would be appropriate to take a trip down the memory lane of Blake Lively’s love life. (Or maybe I just wanted to post a lot of pictures of beautiful men, but you’re not complaining are you?)
Kelly Blatz (2004-2007)
Oh...no, we won't judge you for wearing a tiara to prom. (But I'm going to go burn ALL of my prom pictures before I get famous.)
Kelly Blatz was Lively’s high school sweetheart. They dated throughout high school and even went to prom together. And, go figure, he’s also an actor/musician. Blatz made his acting debut in The Seven and then appeared in the 2008 remake of Prom Night with Brittany Snow and is now well-known for his role in Disney show, Aaron Stone. Among other various (less successful) movie/TV roles he decided to join a band called Gypsy Jones, which lasted 4 years until he left because of “artistic differences.” So now he’s wildly less successful than Ms. Lively, but who doesn’t love a good high school love story?
Penn Badgley (Late 2007-Sept 2010)
Everyone should know about this match made on the Upper East Side. Blake fell for her Gossip Girl costar/character Serena’s boyfriend quickly after the show start and stayed with him for quiet sometime. There are some of us (not mentioning any names, or saying it’s me or anything) wish they still were together because Dan and Serena were such a beautiful story, in a twisted Gossip Girl scandal kind of way. Who didn’t love their “first time” under the fake snow and everything? But I got you girl, once that hair started growing I would have been running for the hills too.
Leonardo DiCaprio (May 2011-October 2011)
Leo was short lived, but trust me, if I were Blake I would have soaked that up for all it was worth. Dating Leonardo DiCaprio is like a right of passage for blondes (I’m patiently waiting my turn). Bar Rafaeli, Gisele Bundchen, Blake Lively, and now his current VS model Erin Heatherton have all had a chance with the infamous Leo. Blake was probably just getting it out of her system.
Ryan Reyonds (Oct 2011-Present)
It seems that heart throb, Ryan Reynolds, won Blake’s heart for good. The two noticed each other while filming Green Lantern in 2010 and then seemed to make things more official after Reynolds divorce from Scarlett Johansson became final in July of 2011. They have reportedly bought a a $2.3-million house together in Bedford, N.Y. The two married this past weekend in a very secret nuptial in South Carolina. Seems like Ryan likes blondes too. (It’s a nice place to be a blonde. I’m just sitting here waiting for my heart throb.)
Well after only four boyfriends, it seems like Blake knows what she wants, so hopefully this last longer than Ryan’s previous marriages. And…if I doesn’t work out Ryan, I’m totally down to be next in line
