After much anticipation, our girl Taylor Swift’s new album is finally out for you guys to hear! Red is Taylor’s fourth studio album, and possibly her most mature album to date. I’ll admit, I was a little scared for this record when I heard We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (not your best work, Tay Tay). But after hearing the releases after WANEGBT, I’m pumped to hear more songs from the country-pop star that will tug on my heartstrings.
With big names being featured on the album (Ed Sheeran and Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol), Taylor promises that Red will be all about her “tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years. All those emotions — spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that — in my mind, all those emotions are red. You know, there’s nothing in between. There’s nothing beige about any of those feelings.”
I haven’t had a chance to listen to the album yet, but I’m more than excited to see what Taylor has in store for us! With 16 tracks, no bonus tracks included, totaling to about 65 minutes, this will definitely be her longest album to date. Her track list is as follows:
1. State of Grace
2. Red
3. Treacherous
4. I Knew You Were Trouble
5. All Too Well
6. 22
7. I Almost Do
8. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
9. Stay Stay Stay
10. The Last Time (featuring Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol)
11. Holy Ground”
12. Sad Beautiful Tragic
13. The Lucky One
14. Everything Has Changed (featuring Ed Sheeran)
15. Starlight
16. Begin Again
