Alright, Hangover fans. Filming of the third and, what is believed to be the final installment of the Hangover franchise, is well underway. The biggest buzz has been circling around the cast and crew’s major highway shutdown of a stretch of the 73 toll road out in California. Apparently, this stretch is very busy and, since tolls bring states revenue, this scene is probably more expensive than the hotel bill from the first movie.
Rumor has it that the location of this installment will go back to where it all began and take place, primarily in Las Vegas. During the week’s on location shoot in California, a video surfaced of the filming and has provided quite a few interesting details. I can’t wait to see how they figure into the central plot. Alan is spotted driving a Mercedes-Benz with a license plate reading “DADSBOI.” This convertible seems to be towing an animal trailer, for an unusually large animal. This means that they are going for something bigger than Tyson’s tiger. The person who snapped the footage claims that the trailer is for a giraffe that escapes onto the freeway after Alan crashes the Benz.
Well, as the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The use of exotic animals in the Hangover films makes for hilarious plot details that feel unique to the franchise. Maybe this giraffe will become Hollywood’s go-to giraffe in future projects? It worked for Crystal the Capuchin after stole the show in Hangover 2. She’s now on a TV series and recently made the cover of New York Magazine.
