Now where did we leave off? Oh yes, Chuck’s father denies him and then he denies Blair . Blair follows Chuck to Paris and is FINALLY ready to be with him, but he’s finally not. Serena is mad because Dan will never choose her over Blair (even after she seduces him on a bar, sound familiar?) and ships back off to somewhere (?) in a drunken/drugged up stupor. And that’s where they left us.
Rewatch the final moments, as Blair finally, and literally, throws all her chips in and bets on Chuck. And being the insane Chuck/Blair (or “Chair” as some call them) I died. The ONLY thing I’m looking for this season is some closure. And by that I mean a Chuck-Blair wedding.
So what should we expect from the last season of one of the biggest, juiciest teen dramas to hit television? With Serena heading back down that sticky spiral of drugs and sexual extremes, anything can happen. And Blair giving into Chuck just when he decides to throw in the towel, who knows! And Dan telling Serena he’s done with her for good, now that their parents are divorced, the Upper Eastside is in shambles.
Barry Watson joins the cast as a Steven Spence, love interest for Serena, and hopefully brings along some “7th Heaven” to this less than wholesome cast so we can at least end on a slightly holier note than usual. But its seems (according to the promo) Watson is dating Serena’s alter ego, Sabrina?
Apparently there will also be a wedding that is not between Georgina, Dan or Blair, so who? Possibly Serena/Sabrina and Steven? Well that’s what I’m thinking. And to my complete happiness, there are a few less than appropriate scenes starring Chuck and Blair, so we can only image that she does indeed win him over again, and hopefully for the last time.
And Dan gets slapped. But I feel like he’s always getting slapped. Boy needs to get his s*** together when it comes to women.
Tune in to the CW tonight to seen the first episode of the very last season of Gossip Girl.
