Gryphon’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection centers around designer Aimee Cho’s signature cotton-metal trench coats. The collection is embellished with fox-fur and scrap metal detailing, and offers creative and vibrant prints. The highlight of the F/W 2013 release is the Game of Thrones inspired water-resistant trenchcoat.
As a designer, creator and appreciator of all things fashion, New York’s Gryphon grabbing inspiration from Game of Thrones is really dope to see. Gryphon’s designer Aimee Cho stated that when she started Gryphon she was passionate about offering go-to coats and jackets that can instantly update a look and also be functional. She didn’t shy away from that statement. Gryphon’s Fall/Winter 2013 Ready-to-Wear line offers a variety of outwear products that includes Cho’s signature cotton-metal trench coats. She adds on fox-fur details, which can be seen on a majority of the collars, and scrap metal embellishments at the shoulders. A highlight of the collection, in my opinion, is the camo printed varsity jacket.
Lastly, Gryphon’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection centers around a weather-resistant, heavy twill trench coat with a removable leather harness. The coat is reported to be inspired by HBO’s Game of Thrones.
