Entourage, the famous HBO series that ran from 2004-2011, is back. The hit series got the OK from Warner Bros on Tuesday to go on and make this long awaited movie. The dream team of Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connolly, and Jerry Ferrara will be back. Oh, and how could I forget to mention that Jeremy Piven will be back as the famous talent agent, Ari Gold. Deals are currently being negotiated with these five stars. The film will be directed by its creator, Doug Ellin.
There is currently a lot of speculation to where the movie will pick up from. Just to refresh everyone’s memory, the Entourage series ended with Vince getting on a plane to get married to Sophia, while Eric recently got back together with his fiancé, Sloan. The biggest cliffhanger of them all was, of course, Ari Gold. Ari had just quit his job as President of the largest talent agency in the world to get back together with his wife, whom he’d been separated from for months before. As Ari was on his five star get away with his wife, he received a phone call asking him to take a job as the chairman and chief executive of a studio. Soon after this offer, the show ends. This left all Entourage fans aching for a movie.
It is pretty obvious that not only the fans of Entourage are excited for this movie, but the stars are just as, if not, more excited than their fans. Some of the tweets I saw from Adrian Grenier and Jerry Ferrara exemplified that. Both stars tweeted a picture of them at Doug Ellin’s Entourage toast celebration at Doug’s penthouse:
After seeing all of this hype and news about the new Entourage movie, it’s pretty safe to say that a lot of people, including the stars, are excited about its return.
