Concert Review: This Century

This Century

I was able to catch This Century while on tour with Austin Gibbs on their Endless Summer tour here in Montreal this past week and was not left disappointed. For those of you who don’t know these Arizonian men, you should definitely keep them on your radar. We held an interview with This Century back in June with the release of their latest single at the time, Bleach Blonde, which you can see here.

Austin Gibbs

Austin Gibbs opened the night with some of his hits. The southern singer made the audience swoon telling them just how much he loves Montreal and would love to find someone to settle down and have kids with, causing the girls in the audience (including myself.. sorry boyfriend!), to giggle uncontrollably. Gibbs followed this with his hit La La La, which had everyone looking for a special someone for the night.

This Century

Sadly, his set finished all too soon, but This Century brought the crowd back to life. They hit their set off with a bunch of songs off their debut album, Sound Of Fire, which got older fans pumped. They played hits like Sound Of Fire, To Love and Back, and Young And Useless. The band also played a few new singles, such as their collaboration with Austin Gibbs, entitled Someone For Everyone. Austin joined them up on stage and sing along with the band, which seemed to turn the state into an incredible karaoke party.

The band just wrapped up this tour, but with promises of a new album on the way, so don’t worry, maybe you’ll be blogging about This Century next!
