So, if you missed out on the awesomeness that was CMJ, here is a quick recap of the highlights! First of all, the festival had so many different performers that I absolutely refuse to sit here and type the names of all of them. Sure there is always copy and paste, but still, it was a truly mind blowing experience and reading a roster of raw talent is not going to make you happy if you weren’t there. So for those who missed out on days 1-5, I won’t sit here and make you feel bad about yourself, I will merely give you enough information to know what all of your friends are buzzing about. It’s sort of like using Facebook for presidential debate highlights.

Alexz Johnson, who I remember from Disney’s So Weird, and who recently opened for Lindsey Stirling at Webster Hall has been on fire, lately! She premiered a brand new song called “Don’t Stop” and it totally felt like it belonged on the soundtrack of the romantic comedy that is my life. Asher Roth and Ghostface Killah contributed to the hip-hop portion of the festival, proving that there was something there for everyone. Oh, and did I mention Kimbra was there? If you, for some odd reason can’t remember who she is, I’ll give you a hint. She may be somebody that you USED to know.
