35 years ago today, Rock & Roll lost its king. Last night, millions of fans gathered online to watch the candlelight vigil to commemorate The King’s passing. The online spectators will be viewing a large number of fans positioning themselves at Graceland. All week, elvis.com celebrated the legacy Elvis left behind with his music and charm.
Elvis Presley’s music created a new genre back in the 50s; mixing jazz and blues to create a sound that became signature to the Tupelo/Memphis rockstar. Now an icon to the 50s, his fanbase is as strong as ever with thousands of Elvis impersonators worldwide. Today, we remember the hits like Heart Break Hotel, Jailhouse Rock, and Devil In Disguise.
In honor of The King of Rock & Roll, we’ll be blasting his hits for the day and sporting our Elvis MusicSkins. Check out our latest skins and remember the icon in his glory years. RIP Elvis.
